THERE is no shame in having troubles in life, work, or any other area. Nor is there any need to lose self-confidence on that account. What matters is your faith, and how you can change your destiny. Always maintain a faith that is directly connected to the Gohonzon.
WHEN one worships the Gohonzon, all Buddhas and bodhisattvas in the entire universe immediately responds to one’s prayer by lending their protection. If one slanders the Gohonzon, the response will be exactly the opposite.
ONE cannot be said to be practicing faith correctly, if others make the observation, “For all their praying, their actions are always lacking in common sense.” It is important that one be able to bring forth the necessary wisdom for living a happy life. The power of faith enables us to realize for ourselves just what we need for our greatest possible happiness.
THE workings of our mind are truly subtle. Some have noted that despite what is commonly believed, our memory does not necessarily deteriorate as we get older. Even supposing a certain degree of decline is inevitable, our acceptance of people’s assertions that memory function deteriorates as a fact, actually causes us to become more forgetful. In reality, however, our brain is made so that we can keep learning at any age.
AN organization is like a person’s frame. Having a strong frame is important for healthy growth and development. In the same way, when the organization is united and solid, its members are protected and kosen-rufu can advance.
